Onward, to the Consulate!

When I wrote that last post, I didn't know it, but our dossier was already off to the New York City Consulate! Our coordinator left a message on our phone that we never received. This happens to us all the time. Long story short: Vonage sucks.

Anyway, our dossier has been out of translation for 8 whole days. This means we only have about 52 more days until we hear something new. One hurdle at a time, Michelle. One hurdle at a time. We try to celebrate each of these accomplishments, but it is so easy to instead shift our worries to the next thing. (Well, getting translated isn't really any great accomplishment. Everyone always gets translated, but it's still nice to know that we're moving along nicely.)

what great news!!! Maya's birthday is March 4th and so many times, with each step of this process, we need to "march forth"!! Here's to celebrating!! (we never did make it to BB before I bring her home...boy, I could use one now!) Can't wait to have you over or meet for a walk at the park.

Hey. You should start doing a timeline page now for your scrapbook. That's a perfect list for somewhere near the start. Or maybe at the end?

Thanks again for taking so many wonderful pictures when you were here. Let's do it again soon!
