Spasiba!

Spasiba means THANK YOU in Russian. When we get back, we will be sending out a slew of thank you cards, but until then, we just wanted to say some big thank you's to our friends and family.

THE GRANDPARENTS -- Our moms and dads (Charlie's grandparents) have been awesome. They have been ultra-supportive, and they have been 100% involved in the process since day one. They even ran our paperwork all over Ohio to be notarized, certified, and apostilled!

THE AUNTS/UNCLES -- Our brothers and sisters (Charlie's aunts and uncles) have also been fantastic. They have helped us gather some of the things we need for travel, and they have just made things easier for us this past week while we scrambled to get ready.

THE REST OF THE FAMILY -- Other family members have also helped us on our journey, and we are genuinely appreciative to have such a loving and supportive family, all the way down to our aunts, uncles, and cousins!

OUR FRIENDS -- So many friends have sent us words of support and love. We are very, very lucky people.

So, we're on our way! We leave today and won't arrive in Kaz until Tuesday at noon (U.S. Eastern Standard Time). I will post before that, if we can get connected in the Frankfort airport. Until then, SPASIBA and see you on the flip side!!

P.S. -- The Kazakhstan episode of the Amazing Race aired last night. You can watch it at the show's website.

Udachi! I'm told that means good luck and safe travels in Russian. I hope you have safe travels and I can't WAIT to hear about the baby house and Semey. We'll have to meet up for a cup of tea some time after Dec. 1. See you in the bonding room!

A large silver bird lurched skyward today.clutching to its wings were two of Gods most wonderful creations, their hearts and minds filled with wonderment and hope.higher and higher they climbed with the prayers of family and friends soaring to the heavens with them. Thanks be to the Creator.
Love,
Mom and Dad

So excited to follow your journey and can't wait to hear all about your adventures with the new baby. Be sure to post often for those of us who won't be going to Semey until 2009 :)
